c. 1940s Vintage Asian Inspired Lacquered Musical Jewelry Box

c. 1940s Vintage Asian Inspired Lacquered Wood Musical Jewelry Box. This beautiful red painted jewelry box with wind up music box and rotating figures was likely a souvenir item brought back by a WWII GI from the Pacific. When closed, it measures 9" long by 5" wide and 4 1/2" tall. It has some dings and paint chipped off and it is missing mother of pearl details on the lid. Also, the lid over the music box mechanism is missing so someone replaced it with a piece of cardboard. Still, it is a beautiful and charming vintage jewelry box!
