C. 1928-1933 WELLER "Velva" Pottery Vase

Up for sale is this antique Weller Pottery Vase marked "Weller Pottery" on the bottom of the base. Floral/Leaf motif on the front, stripe design on the back and two handles. The vase has some wear to due its age and, a few paint nicks/scratches. Please refer to the photos provided for a more detailed description.

Measures 7 1/4 inches high and 4 1/4 inches across the top and 3 inches across the bottom.

"In 1872, Samuel A. Weller founded Weller Pottery in Fultonham, Ohio, United States. Originally, his business consisted of a small cabin and one beehive kiln, and Weller produced flower pots, bowls, crocks, and vases. By 1905, Weller Pottery was the largest pottery in the country. It mass-produced art pottery until about 1920, and it produced commercial lines until the pottery closed in 1948."
